Tolga Kanık

In the year 2009, we had a short but well-rounded visit to Syria. We were moved meeting with its sincere people. Now this beautiful country is going through difficult times. We do hope the strom clouds over Syria will disperse anytime soon.

We had a vigorous yet pleasant tour in Bolkar mountains, a range within the Central Taurus renowned for its formidable elevations.

Having walked 17.4 km across the most desolate corners of Mersin, Güzeloluk region to reach the confluence point 37N 34E at the altitude of 7300 ft, we witnessed the most dramatic setting of the sun.
